A man's admitted killing a mum and daughter who were found dead at their home in Anfield.

A man's admitted killing a mum and daughter who were found dead at their home in Anfield.

The bodies of Karen, 53 and Jade Hales, 28 were found at an address on Cathedral Road on June the 6th.

A post mortem revealed that they died from severe head injuries.

Their dog - a Staffordshire bull terrier, also died in the attack.

At the time, Karen and Jade were described by their family as 'close as any mother and daughter could be'

In a statement released days after the incident We as the family of Karen and Jade Hales would like to thank everyone for all the support we have received at this tragic time from our wonderful family, friends and neighbours."

“Karen and Jade were a large part of our family, they were as close as any mum and daughter could be and they will be so badly missed.

Showers is due to be sentenced next month
