Death not being treated as suspicious
Merseyside Police is investigating following the discovery of a body of a man on the banks of the River Mersey close to Riverside Drive in Otterspool today, Tuesday 3rd May.
The coastguard was contacted at 3.30am by a member of the public and emergency services attended the scene.
An investigation is underway to establish the identity of the man and the circumstance surrounding his death.
At this stage the death is not being treated as suspicious.
