From pubs closing early to our bathroom lights

A 66-year-old American tourist Scott Waters visited the UK

He mostly stayed in small towns and decided to list his random observations of Britain.

He told Buzzfeed: “This was my fourth visit. Last time I stayed for three months. It was also my girlfriend’s first time outside of London so I wanted her to really see the country up close.

“We stayed with relatives around Redruth and friends upcountry travelling by rail and bus to avoid Americans!”

Once home, Scott posted his long list of observations - which included quips on 'cookies' being called 'biscuits' and that there's no air conditioning - on Facebook which has since been shared over 51,000 times.

Citing real Cornish pasties, tea with clotted cream on scones and biking the Camel Trail among his favourite things about England, he said his least favourite things as Birmingham, no bars on the concourse at Heathrow and having to drag luggage up stairs and across a bridge at railway stations.
