EastEnders fans left confused over ‘mistake’ with Ben Mitchell’s deafness
It seems bosses forgot Ben’s character is deaf
Eagle eyed EastEnders viewers were left confused during last night’s (Tuesday 6th September) episode when the soap made an error regarding character Ben Mitchell’s deafness.
Viewers of the popular soap watched on as Ben sat on his knees face to face with his kidnappers after receiving a beating from the gang.
When the gang leader said “It doesn't have to be like this. You and your mate could just walk away.” Ben replied saying “So long as I suddenly go deaf, blind and stupid so far as you lot are concerned?"
EastEnders fans were quick to take to social media, noting that Ben was already deaf as a result of catching meningitis as a baby.
Other fans were quick to point out that despite all the fighting he had been involved in, his glasses were in perfect condition.
Bosses are yet to comment on the situation which left viewers confused, with the storyline expected to continue this week.
