Former Big Brother contestant Nikki Grahame says Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is not anorexic, amid the debate about her weight.

The reality star, who's openly talked about having anorexia in the past, wrote an open letter which said:

"There's no denying, to the untrained eye, you might look 'unhealthy' but take it from someone who has suffered with anorexia for many years in the past - I know the signs and you're certainly not anorexic!"

"The best way to deal with body shamers is to remind yourself of who you are. If you know nothing is wrong and you're haealthy and happy that's all the matters.

"Also no-one knows exactly what's going on in your private life right now but you have explained how stressed you've been because of a family tradegy. So I would urge you to look after yourself and make sure you are eating well, even when you're stressed, especially as you have such a high-pressure job.

"Cheryl I hope you can keep your head held high and ignore the nasty comments, because you are beautiful inside and out."

Although many have said that Cheryl's face looks gaunt, it's reported that Nikki thinks this is just because of make-up.

The 'Crazy Stupid Love' singer has faced lots of criticism over her weight and hit back after someone called her a 'bag of bones' on Twitter.

She replied “I am so sick and tired of it being ok to call somebody too thin or a ‘bag of bones’.

“I would never dream of calling somebody too fat and that they should maybe cut down on their food intake? What is the difference?

“You have no idea what I have been through. Just losing my father in law v recently and everything that comes with that.

“Not that I am or should justify myself to anyone.”

Cheryl is currently a judge on The X Factor.
