Louis Smith addresses rumours claiming he is gay following split from Lucy Meck
The Olympian has spoken out on Instagram.
Following his split from former TOWIE star Lucy Meck, Louis Smith has been forced to deny allegations that he is gay.
The couple were together for 14 months after meeting on reality show Tumble but after confirming their split rumours began to circulate about Louis sexuality.
The Olympian posted this image to his account to confirm his split.
After one user commented saying “did anyone else pick up on the fact Louis is gay??? Hello!”, Louis decided to address the rumours whilst naming and shaming the user in a post.
The 26-year-old responded with the comment “Thought it was finally time I named and shamed someone lol bored of people’s ignorance and bigoted and prejudice behaviour. No I’m not gay and this comment doesn’t directly affect me but for the millions around the world fighting for equality it’s people like this woman dragging our society down. Very sad to be honest… Anyway hope everyone is well.”
Louis then deleted the post and is yet to comment further.
