With the news that we will soon be treated to The Ellen Degeneres Show here in the UK we thought we'd gather together some of the best bits.

The show has been on air since 2003 and has won 55 Daytime Emmy Awards for a variety of categories including nine for Outstanding Daytime Talk Show.

The Ellen Degeneres Show is a mixture comedy, celebrities, music and much more, every episode is packed full of laughter so here are some of the best bits from the past year.

1. Ellen plays 'Heads up' with Hillary Clinton

According to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton all of her staff play the popular mobile game 'Heads Up' so Ellen thought it would be perfect to pit her against the 'President of the US' from the TV show Scandal.

2. Giant Golden Delicious 'Pie Face'

Ellen plays a massive version of 'Pie Face' with members of the audience. Don't feel too sorry for them though, they get to go to the Golden Globes!

3. Carrie Fisher 'sells' Star Wars tickets

Just before Christmas with Star Wars hype all over the world Ellen took the opportunity to 'sell' Star Wars tickets with actress Carrie Fisher. Carrie Fisher, famous for playing Princess/General Leia in the Star Wars films donned her iconic 'bagel bun hair' along with Ellen and took to the streets of LA encouraging people to hand over money or objects in return for opening night Star Wars tickets.

4. Hello? Adele?

Late last year Adele released 'Hello' which became a smash hit all over the world, but also spawned a number of spoof videos, including this one from Ellen.

5. Jessie J surprises Tom Bleasby

After a video of UK singer Tom Bleasby went viral, Ellen decided to bring him on the show and surprise him with a duet with Jessie J. His reaction is priceless.

6. Jason Derulo performs

Everyone's favourite name checker Jason Derulo performed his hit 'Want To Want Me' on the show in early 2015 surrounded by scantily clad backing dancers.
